Mélanie founded the school in 2008. After as a French teacher, she completed her Montessori training and decided to develop a bilingual Montessori school. She continues to work at the school with both her children. An animal lover, she loves to rescue wounded animals and spending time with her dogs.

While working with deaf children and as a substitute teacher in the French schools and attending university working towards teacher's college, Mélanie life path changed when she took a position as a French teacher in a Montessori school. She became a Montessori parent and completed her Montessori teacher training in 2008.  Mélanie opened a bilingual Montessori program that same year. She currently works as the director the school with both her adult children. An animal lover, she loves to rescue wounded animals and spending time with her dogs.

Yanick Tremblay

Yanick joined the team in 2013 as an Assistant Teacher while he completing his Montessori training. Yanick is proudly bilingual. As our resident master Montessori guide, Yanick is our Montessori specialist assisting and supporting the teachers in the Montessori method.  He also animates music and movement lessons in the classrooms. During his time off, he loves to spend time with his common law partner Louka,  running, playing chess and playing with his birds.

Sydnie Tremblay

Children's Yoga Specialist

Sydnie has the distinction of being a Montessori child before becoming a Montessori guide in 2020. She joined our team in 2019 as an assistant teacher. Sydnie is bilingual and is currently working on obtaining her children Yoga teacher certification. Alongside Mélanie, she is co-director of the program, specializing in program information and new registrations. Sydnie loves to do crafts, read, do yoga, hike and play with her rabbits and dog. 

Amanda Poole

Staff Supervisor

Amanda joined our team in 2015 as a RECE. She has worked in both the pre-Casa and Casa age children and has completed her Montessori training in 2017. Amanda is our staff supervisor, assisting everyone during daily functioning. A lover of language, she is actively perfecting her French, loves to travel, draw and hike on her time off. Amanda also works in other children programs through volunteering and spend time cuddling her cats. 

Christina Huynh

Early Childhood Program Specialist 
Aftercare Supervisor

Christina joined our time in 2018 as an occasional Assistant Teacher until she joined our team full-time shortly after. Born and raised in Toronto by 2 Vietnamese immigrant parents, she is fluent in Vietnamese. Christina is our parent-teacher communication facilitator and our tour coordinator. She loves to use her knowledge to assist the teachers and the parents. She loves to travel, hike and spend time with her family. Christina also likes to spend time cuddling her cat Jack.


Ricardo Diaz

Montessori Guide

Ricardo first joined our team in 2014 as our on-site chef.  With a background in children's sports coaching, after 2 years, Ricardo  decided to complete his Montessori training and became a certified guide. Since then, he has become the father of 2 Montessori children. After a year away caring for his children, he returned  to the classroom in April 2021. A native of Colombia, Ricardo is fluent in Spanish and English. In his time off, Ricardo likes to play and coach soccer, spend time on DIY projects and enjoying his family. 

Arti SuPaul

Montessori Guide

Arti moved to Canada in 1996 from Guyana and joined our team in 2015 as an Assistant Teacher after becoming a Montessori mom, having her daughter attend our program. She has worked in both the pre-Casa and Casa age children and has completed her Montessori training in 2019 and due to the pandemic is working on finishing her placement to receive her diploma. She is loving mother to 4 children. In her time off, Arti loves to cook, go on long walks and play with her bird.

Carmen Rodriguez

Spanish Specialist

Carmen joined our team in 2018 first as a student teacher and then as an assistant teacher. In 2020, Carmen completed her Casa Montessori Teacher training. Born in Colombia, Carmen is fluent in Spanish and is working on developing a Spanish curriculum for our program. She is the busy mother to 3 beautiful children and is a Montessori mom. Carmen loves to work with children, spending time with her husband and children and loves to smile.


Pamela McNabb

Pamela joined our team in 2021. In 2016, Pamela graduated from Child and Youth worker program, then, in 2018, she received her undergrad in Child and Youth Care. Born in Sudbury, Pamela was raised all over Northern Ontario. She has spent years in the Army cadets, where she was Distinguished Marksman. Pamela models with 2 agencies and spends her spare time being active and outdoors.  Her philosophy is reflected in her favorite quote by A. Einstein: "Everybody is a genius. But if you judge a fish by it's ability to climb a tree, it will live it's whole life believing that he is stupid."

Kat Manolakos

Kat joined our team in 2021 as a part-time support assistant teacher and our onsite screener, before joining our team full-time. She was born and raised here in Kitchener. Kat has completed all her schooling in the French immersion program. Kat has worked part-time at the YMCA for four years before joining our team. In her free time, Kat loves to dance and playing with her puppy Rose.  

Samantha Juhn

Samantha or Sam, joined our team as an Assistant Teacher in 2021. As an artist, Sam is completing her Montessori art teacher certification. Born in the US she moved to Canada to her grandparents farm in 1982. As a professional artist, she has lived and worked in San Francisco for 9 years and moved back with her amazing 5 year old son settling in Kitchener. Sam is a Montessori mommy. She continues to study French and works in art and design in her home studio in her spare time. She resides in Kitchener with her dog Hailey, her newly acquired cat Lucy and a colorful fish named Beatsy.


Stephanie Weaver

Stephanie joined our team as an assistant Teacher in 2021. Born in Burlington and residing in Hamilton for the majority of her life, she moved to Kitchener 4 years ago. Stephanie has worked the past 5 years in daycares with the French school board with a variety of age groups. Being fluently bilingual, she is in the last leg of completing her RECE diploma, going to college full time on evenings and weekends with Collège Boréal. In her free time, Stephanie loves to spend time with her rescue dog Stevie.

Élodie Gervais

Élodie joined our team in 2021 as an assistant teacher in our Casa program. She started her Montessori guide training for the preCasa program in May 2021. Born and raised in France, she moved to Toronto, Ontario, Canada in 2014 where she worked as a nanny  before moving to Alberta for a few years.  Élodie is the loving mama to a Montessori child. In her free time Élodie loves to go to the park with her little boy and play with her 3 cats. She also enjoy baking, crafting, reading, hiking and taking photos of everything.

Carly Basile

Carly joined our team in May 2021 as an assistant teacher in our Casa 2 classroom. Carly first graduated from the university of Guelph in 2016 with a BA in Social & Human Sciences. She thereafter attended Georgian College and went on to graduate from it first accelerated Child & Youth Care program in 2018. Carly brings  experience working with children of all abilities. In her free time, Carly likes to craft, bake and spend time with her guinea pigs. 


Sara Banic

Summer Program

Sara will be joining our team from May to August in 2021. She was born and raised here in Kitchener. Currently, Sara is a student at the University of Western Ontario (go Mustangs!) and is studying Political Science. She loves to travel and is often outside playing softball. She also loves animals, so you’ll most likely see her with the guinea pigs in her free time
